Promoting global community
development onevillage at a time.
Can it really be that simple? The complex world of international aid would have you think otherwise, but we believe that although every village in every country is unique they all share the same fundamental needs: Education, Health Care, Infrastructure Advancement and Economic Growth.
onevillage promotes global development through individual community empowerment in underdeveloped countries around the world. We believe that by listening to local residents, starting small and applying assistance and funds where needed, we can develop a model that not only creates healthy communities but fosters a healthy planet.
The creation of healthy and self-sustaining communities on a local level can empower and inspire regional, national and even planetary change. Although the work we do is very local, our goal is to create networks that foster a sense of global responsibility and ownership.
A True Cradle to Grave Approach
Giving money to impoverished communities or applying a "one size fits all" strategy to individual projects cannot and does not work. We do not send in experts to write complex reports or needs assessments. We visit a community, we talk to the decision-makers and local residents and we focus our energy on small projects to create a synergy between health, education and development. We create a cycle of growth that takes on a life of its own as recipients of aid return to foster an even stronger and healthier community.
